Are you aware of your Final destination?

By Lawrence Ibe

image

WHAT IF…..

You woke up today and you saw your body still laying helplessly on the bed. You were shocked so you tried calling your sibling who was sleeping next to you and he did not hear you mention his name.

You tried to pick up your phone to make a call to somebody and you couldn’t pick it up. You started crying but no one heard you.You tried touching the gate to go out, but ur hand penetrated. You went outside and your house mates were Chating, but you were not recognized.

After some few minutes, you saw your Brothers And sisters coming out of your room shouting and crying  All you could hear them say was”HE IS DEAD”

You stood there watching them cry.
So you asked urself WHERE EXACTLY AM I GOING.  Your spirit started crying bitterly, because you were not prepared to start that journey so sooner.

Where exactly are you going when you stop breathing? Are you aware of your final destination? So start preparing. Look on to Jesus, He alone knows the way to the best destination (Heaven).

Be wise! it can take you unawares!

Lynxxx writes on the spiritual implications of pre-marital sex

image

Lynxxx wrote…

Now this topic I’ve spent alot of time studying, especially from a Spiritual angle. Premarital sex to be exact and there are so many layers of blatant truth and implications to this act of satisfying the desires of the flesh we all need to be enlightened by.

This is definitely one topic our generation doesn’t want to hear about and no I’m no saint either so don’t think I’m pointing fingers at anyone or judging. Like always, I’m sharing my truth and thoughts.

I’ll go straight to the key issues so I don’t end up writing a book.

Please be very careful about who you are intimate with and who yuo share your body with. We tend to see only the physical side of sex and ignore the existence of the Spiritual (which is the MOST important).

In this generation, sex is as common as a handshake, no sentiments to it, no love attached to it, its now a commodity for trade (cash and benefits alike) people sell their dignity for cash, cars, houses, bags, shoes and Luxurious Holidays like its nothing and come on the gram stunting.

Living for today but i promise you it would eventually catch up to you in time because we may not see the act but never forget GOD DOES!

Sex was invented by God for communion between Husband and Wife, to create a greater bonding experience and he knew the power of it hence the commandments restricting us from Premarital sex.

Everytime we have sex, there’s an exchange of spiritual energy between both people, be careful what you invite into your temple cos there are consequences that may not manifest in the Physical.

Sex plays a major role in so many Life issues and marriage problems today, from Heartbreaks, cheating, abortions, adultery, pregnancies, STDs, Guilt / betrayals and the list goes on! Most important of all It distances us from God.

Now being distant from God, how do we expect the relationship to be blessed by him? The harsh truth is, a relationship with two sexually active individuals is definitely not one that Glorifies God so whatever fruits that relationships bears is up to them.

A Relationship that has God as the foundation and center would bear fruits and eventually lead to multiplication.

The choice is Ours and so are the consequences.

Lord, I hear you whisper

image

The Lord whispered to me, “I love you so,”
“Come follow me, my child, high places we will go.”
The Lord knelt beside me at an altar in prayer,
He wiped my tears and took away my despair.
“Come follow me, my child,” the Lord whispered to me,
“There will be no more pain, but oh so much to gain.”
He said, “I forgive you now for all you’ve done,”
Now it’s time to receive the love of God’s only son.”
His love was so warm, so bright and so true,
I could not believe my soul he had renewed,
He repaired my soul from the inside out.
It was then and only then I knew what love was about.
The cleansing power that fell over me,
Was the love of the Lord as he carried me.
“Come follow me, my child,” the Lord whispered to me,
“In that sweet holy land someday you will be.
You will see the Lord’s face at those big pearly gates,
Where loved ones embrace and angels await.
Come follow me, my child,” the Lord whispered to me,
“I will love you always, your protector I’ll be.”

Ways to avoid sexual temptation

image

God commands and demands that there shouldn’t even be a hint of sexual immorality among us as His saved people (Ephesians 5:3). Of course, we all find this incredibly easy to do, right? WRONG!

This feels completely impossible most (maybe all) of the time. If there is one area of life where it feels like Satan is winning the battle, it’s in the area of sex. And if there is one area where our bodies are screaming out to us to disobey God, it’s in the area of sex.

I want to give you some of my top tips to help you avoid sexual immorality:

1) Find out what pleases the Lord. This is a command straight out of Ephesians 5:10, and is part of what it means to live a life worthy of our calling as Christians, and part of what it means to live a life of love, just as Christ loved us.

2) Find out what God’s will for your life is. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says, “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God;” It doesn’t get much clearer than that!

3) The battle begins in the mind. You need to know what God says about sex and trust what God says about sex. You need to be careful what you fill your minds with. Imagination is often the hot-bed where sin is hatched. Martin Luther once said about sexual desires, “You can’t stop birds from flying over your head, but you can stop them from making nests in your hair.”

4) Pray (It is a spiritual battle too). Depend on God, on the power of His Holy Spirit to strengthen you in this battle. (Matthew 6:13; 2 Timothy 2:22; James 5:16)

5) Don’t put yourself in situations where you will be easily tempted. There is little point praying that God would not lead you into temptation, then walking straight into a tempting situation.

6) Remember God is watching. You are never completely out of sight. Someone can always see you.

7) Wield the axe. Jesus says in Matthew 5, if your eye or hand causes you to sin, gouge them out and throw them away, because eternal life is at stake. So if the internet, magazines, TV, or peer groups are causing you to sin; wield the axe. Chop away those things that tempt you.

8) Talk about sex (accountability). You can’t fight this alone. You need God’s help and you need help from God’s people too.

9) You are not alone. It can be helpful to know you are not the only person who has ever been tempted this way. Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man” (1 Corinthians 10:13a)

10) You CAN resist. “God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” (1 Corinthians 10:13b).
