UK lockdown: Life in the UK

I’m an outdoor person. I enjoy going out alone or with friends to have fun and take some pictures. When the isolation started officially, I tried to adjust to things to carry on with life normally, and try to get myself involved with some indoor activities to make myself busy at home.

Watching the news was like watching a horror movie. I had to stop watching the news for a while. So much going on, I just want everything to get back to normal.

Working from home initially was fun. After a while, I began to miss the outside world. I miss going out, meeting with colleagues, having fun and talking about the projects for the month.

One positive thing I can’t complain about is constant electricity and internet. I can watch movies, and do so much with my free internet.
The weather also is beautiful. The sun is shining, sending a sign to Britain, for people to see the sunny side of things.

However, even in this period, I have comminucated with everyone that matters to me. My family and close friends. Staying connected with the ones you love, totally help ease the stress and keeps you smiling.

Remember, there’s going to be plenty of things to do after lockdown, so look on the brighter side of things and cheer up.

โ€œHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.โ€– Joshua 1 vs 9

Trusting God In Hard Times

God hasnโ€™t promised sun without rain. Not in this present world. But he has promised to be with us.The Bible is full of God’s promises and reminders about him being with us.

When life seems full of pain, we need to remember what Paul said to Timothy about โ€œendurance”.
The Christian race isn’t all smooth. It’s not an easy path. In the Christian race, you may have to go through some difficult times.

But the question is…Will you endure to the finish? In the Christian race, will you be faithful through all of the hardships? However, God has promised us that he will keep us and save us. But the process is not automatic. We must endure hardship as good soldiers of the lord and as leaders.

Often, we are trapped by our unbelief and fear, but God is preparing us for the end-time harvest. He wants us to be disciplined and prepared.

God didn’t say everything was going to be smooth, but he assured us that he is going to see us through all the hard times.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego showed us in the Bible how to worship God in hard times. They were able to trust and worship God in difficult Situations. God delivered them, same God is ready to deliver you from every situation. All you need is to trust in him.

When things go wrong, as a Christian, I know it can be devastating, but remember that 1 John 5:14 says “And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”

God hears us, he knows when we need him, therefore your prayers will never go unheard.

Let me put a smile on your face…

Do you know that with God on our side, we have nothing to fear?
For he has promised us that he is with us. Joshua 1:9 says “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

And please put your trust in God, Trust him alone.

Psalm 118:8
“It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.

And remember that Hebrews 11:1
Says “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Put your faith into action…. And fear not!

2 Timothy 4:18
“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom.

For all God’s promises are YES and AMEN. Trust in him alone!

Self-Improvement: How to continually improve yourself

Self development is essential. Self improvement goes a long way in changing your life positively. This is an act of enhancing yourself and your capabilities. As life evolves, you should too.

Fortunately, self improvement doesn’t involve a lot of hard work. It simply involves, easy day to day steps and activities. It involves a slow process.
It’s not necessarily about making one big change and then you relax, self improvement involves a regular daily process, and this can revolve around your habits, behaviors and actions.

Self improvement might need a little bit of reflection on your day to day activity as a person, so as to know where you need to work on and improve.

Over the years, personally, I’ve tried to work on my patience as a person. I got books on “Patience” to help improve my ability to accept or tolerate situations without becoming annoyed. Patience is a powerful one. Over the years I’ve realised the ability to endure difficult circumstances, can be worked on and achieved.

Self improvement might include changes in your habits and behavior

These are simple self improvement tips that might help your lifestyle

1) Love Yourself. The first step to your Self-improvement is learning to love yourself

2) Eat Better and healthy

3) Forgive easily. This will help you live a happier life and make peace with everyone.

4) Be flexible

5) Set Goals and accomplish them

6) Accept Failures, but never make the same mistake twice

7) Be Thankful! Be grateful for all you have and strive to be better than you were yesterday

Divine direction: Seeking God’s guidance in your decisions

For God’s plans towards us are great. It might take a while to realise the path God has destined for you. But once you realise his plans over your life, and you begin to work in the that direction, things will begin to make sense.

Seeking direction from God, helps prevent us from making mistakes. Asking God to lead our path makes things easier. Like they say, success doesn’t come easy but going in God’s direction and plan for your life helps connect you to the helpers he has destined for you. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6.

Direction from God is key. Location is also important. Does he want you there? Will it work out for you in that city? What is God saying concerning you? How does he want you to go about things? Ask and seek him first, don’t just do things because it’s working out for everyone. The ways of God are different from the ways of man. Only God sees the future and he only knows what’s best for you.

Sometimes we get confused about how to go about life. I want you to take a deep breath and remember that God listens.
